Is it normal for my smile to look weird after having braces removed?

I've had braces for over 2 years and I just got them off today. I'm currently wearing a retainer but I feel like my smile was much better before braces or even with braces. My teeth look really big and my face looks really different. Will my smile improve after the retainer comes off maybe

Yeep well basically your used to having braces on and smiling seeing metal stuck to your teeth now your teeth will be nice and straight i am sure if you ask some one close to you if your smile looks wierd they will say no. I thought the same when i got my brace off for a bout a month lol but its all good now

All you need to do it get used to it every now and then move your lips around you teeth or l**k them it dosn't matter you just have to get used to having your braces off.

Never thought I'd say this, but the 8 year old nailed it.  I still have mine but when I had some brackets moved and I saw my teeth they looked absolutely huge.

I know I'm going to feel like a horse when they come off.

But just give it some time and you'll get used to them again.

i am 8 and just got my braces off 1 month ago and ya i did look weird at first but after a day it will look normal
