Is it normal for my stepson who is 10 to sleep with, play and dress webkinz ( stuffed animals)?

my stepson likes to play with stuffed animals alot. but i dont know if i should be concerned if he doesnt want to play outside with the boys when he'd rather dress up stuffed animals. Is this normal? he has to sleep with them too. I am confused..

i guess its ok. mayb u should try to let other kids come to him...

Your step son may be more creative than many other kids.  It's fine for him to play with stuffed animals at this age.  They are probably a good source of expression and comfort.  He'll lose interest in them in time, let him mature at his own rate.

I think he is fine. Not all boys like dirt and cars and trucks.

My 5 year old son has had a passion for barbies and wears my daughters' dresses at home.

I think he will grow out of it.

Are you saying that he never goes outside and plays with the boys - or just sometimes he'd rather play with the stuffed animals? If it's sometimes, even often, I wouldn't worry about it at all. There's nothing wrong with a 10 year old boy playing with stuffed animals. It's nice to hear about a kid actually being a kid.

Webkinz are meant to be for boys and girls, so I think it is fine. As long as it doesn't take up all of his time, or become obsessive.

The two 10 year old boys I babysit have webkinz, and some are dressed in basketball uniforms.. or karate... it's not like they're wearing tutus or something=) They are kind of like pets that they get to take care of. The website is geared for both girls and boys, and is somewhat educational, so I'm all for it=)  It's a phase. Webkinz won't last forever.. a new cool toy will come out eventually=)

ok i thinks its normal my big brother used to play with my dolls when i was little it might just be a stage and stuffed animals can be a comfort. i dont think u should be concerned......soo hope that helped a little

i dont think that is normal he should be out playing sports, My 10 year old hates when I ask him to play dolls or something like that with his little sister.

Try to get him more interacted with children of his age. He's just trying to find a way to entertain himself. Invite some neighbors, friends, family and have a bbq. U got to motivate him. And as for the playing with stuffed animals I wouldn't worry about it. Kids like playing with lots of stuff. Some boys play with barbies and dress up so why not stuffed animals. When he gets older he will find new things that intrest him.

YES omg im 12 and i sleep play and dress them .. idk but i will grow out of it.. so yea you stepson will to don't worry just give him time
