  1. The rash from poison ivy does not spread.  Only the oil from the plant causes the rash.  The reasons some people think it spreads are thinner skin tends to break out sooner and then later thicker skin breaks out and skin that gets a higher dose of the oil tend to break out sooner.  This is why it appears to spread.  The initial rash will not last two months.  The major itching, redness and swelling usually begin to resolve after about a week but it could take a few weeks for the rash to completely dry up.  If you continue to get new outbreaks then it's most likely that you're getting oil from objects that have been contaminated.  The oil will stay on shoes, clothing, pets and almost anything else that has come into contact with the plants for months or even years.   Wash anything that may have contacted the plants with a grease-dissolving soap such as Dawn dish soap.

  2. if you scratch at lil bumps that looks like warts and pop them watery lookin stuff comes out and it will spread if you go to a doctor theyll give you cream.ive had it before

  3. Only if you spead it. Generally it's between 2 and 3 weeks. Get a cream with Zinc Oxide 2%.
