  1. A cop is allowed to pull you over even if it is the opposite direction becasue their radars can be turned around for the opposite direction and they are always running.

  3. Yes, very normal.  Some squads have the ability to run radar at all times in several directions at once, even when moving.  It all depends on how much money the department is willing to spend on the amount of equipment.

    The best systems are able to take the speed of the squad into account in addition to the radar return and give the officer an exact reading (they are calibrated daily before shift).

  4. Yes, it is normal if you are speeding or commit a multitude of other violations. No, not all of the time but often much of the time.
