Is it normal for teen girls to overuse the words "like, "so", oh my god", etc etc?

I thought there may be like a syndrome or disorder name for it or something. It seems kind of like an extreme case of Tourettes :P

i use the word amazing alot

But this one guy in my school says the word s**y

like "this homework is s**y"

but i say Oh my god somewhat

it just kinda is second nature to me

Yes and my dad gets SO SO SO mad, and continually tells me "like it for compares and rating. I like ice cream...not I was like what is wrong with you.

yes, although i tend to think it seems very uneducated and want to be.  it eventually will become part of your normal speech and is annoying to others listening.

Yeah, though I must admit I'll say it sometimes, but then I feel like a total ditz. It sounds stupid, so I try saying other things, because it gets annoying, overusing words. "Oh my good golly gosh!" or "Oh mon Dieu!" "Dios!" Or stuff like that, like saying the "childish" way or using different languages. It really also helps your vocabulary :)

But to answer your question, yes. It is normal.

I don't stereotypically those are the cheerleaders and air headed blonde's.

I am sixteen years old, and not once have I ever overused those words. In-fact, I won't converse with somebody who sounds like a complete idiot.

I dont personally use them. I think they are 7th grade and I am almost an adult, so I should speak like one. Dont ya think.

I make fun of people that use those words. I also make fun of people that speak World of Warcraft lingo, (epic, stealth...ext)

I think too many words are overused.

Yeah, I think so. Have you noticed that overall, teen girls wear similar clothes too? I think it just has to do with us trying to be cool and fit in, and then after a while it just becomes habit.

I overuse 'Oh My God' sometimes but repeatedly saying words such as 'like' makes you sound like an idiot who has no vocabulary. It's a quick and easy way to sound stupid, in my opinion.
