Okay, so I took a laxative around 12 Eastern time today (It is ten now) I have went to the bathroom once, but it was only an hour after taking the pill. It says it does not work for 6-12 hours since its for overnight relief.

Now my stomach hurts really really bad (I dont feel like I am going to throw up, but it aches. almost like period cramps but worse), and I was wondering if it was normal.

  1. Depends on what you took for a laxative. You don't say what you took, but I know that a laxative like Correctol does cause cramping. The best thing I believe is Milk Of Magnesia. The pain will subside when the laxative works and makes your bowels move, but whatever you took, I wouldn't take it again. Find one that does not cause cramping, it states it on the bottle or package that the laxative comes in. The cramping is normal with what ever you took. I wish for you the very best young lady and hope your pain goes quickly away. Good luck.

  2. it can defiently happen, thats why u will see some that say stimulant free or gentle on your stomach. Try drinking juice or water in small gulps and gently massage ur tummy. Don't take any more laxative stuff.

  3. thanks for being rude on my question very thoughtful of you
