I know I don't have a fungus, (I went to my doctor to confirm and he laughed when I told him I thought I had gangrene)..but I am too young to have feet like I do...some of my toe nails are a little darker then my regular toned toe nail...(I'm black so that you can get a picture of how it looks)....and also when i clip my toenails, they tend to be thick, but not brittle....its like thick and soft and when i inspect them..the nail has this little white scales on them...why is that...is the nasty or what...is there something I can do to get s**y, kissable feet like normal 24 yr olds?

  1. It's normal, but it could be fungus.

  2. it does sound like toenail fungus-Be sure and cut your nails while they are still damp from your bath or shower and cut straight across as this helps prevent ingrown toenails and believe it or not plainVic-Vapor-Rub will help get rid of the problem-Rub it into the nails a couple times a day and be patient as it takes a long time for the nail to grow out-

I am a type2 diabetic and started to have trouble with my big toenails and now they are almost completely cleared up.

  3. It could be a fungus and regular family doctors only know about skin problems in a general sense. Instead of going through your doctor, ask to be referred to a Dermatologist.

  4. It sounds like you have Hypertrophy (Onychauxis), it's the overgrowth of nails. Nails with this disorder are abnormally thick. The condition is usually caused by internal imbalance, infection, or heredity. You need to file the nail smooth and buff it with pumice powder. You can get pumice powder at your local beauty supply.

  5. You need to get on an oral antifungal like Sporonox or Lamisil ASAP.

This fungus can not be killed with topical meds
