  1. canker sores are a lot more prevalent when you have anything stressful going on in your life. this includes emotional stress, mental stress, a cold, illness, teeth coming in, an accident, just about anything.

I use campho phenique, the liquid. you take a q-tip and dab it on and let it dry. as soon as it stops tingling you put more on. it's a little annoying but I've had sores either not surface or last as little as two days and they definitely don't get as big.

  2. Canker sores are aphthous ulcers. The exact cause is unknown but they are believed to be an autoimmune reaction to certain foods, fever, or mental stress. I've always felt the amount of acidity in your saliva may have something to do with it too. I suppose it is possible they could be associated with your wisdom teeth, but I can't say that I think it is normal. It may be helpful to swish with warm salt water a few times a day.

  3. i think so because i went through the same thing when mine were coming in and then they just stopped and i didn't have to have them taken out
