Is it normal if a cockateil has droopy eyes?

Question

well i just got a cockateil most of its feathers r still growing.its a baby.its always sleeping or just has its eyes closed. is this normal . the eyes r covered with a bit of skin at the bottom.does anyone know what this could be.

NEXT PROBLEM: mango the cockateil that i have had for a bit more than 1 month seems a bit jealous.i know pumkin the new cockateil likes mango .any idea to get the two to get along.

Birds can be grumpy about who they room with, for reasons as simple as coloring or smell. Try having them spend small amounts of time together, with you like on your lap or hands so they don't feel jealous while getting to know each other. It sounds like Mango is just a little angry that another bird came in and is stealing time with his mommy!

I don't know what it could be with its eyes but it's probably just nothing to worry about.  Just in case you should take it to the vet to make sure nothing is wrong.  As for them not getting along just make sure you spend the same amount of time with both of them everyday but that's really all you can do.
