  1. Technically as a skater you're supposed to be able to do most of the jumps on the floor (the Salchow is too d**n hard to do off-ice).

The Axel is one of the most accesibly doable jumps on the floor because you don't need speed to do it, it's all leg and arm technique.

Is it normal for a woman to do the Triple Axel? Umm.. there's a reason why skater xcommentators love to oogle and drool over the jump because both few women ever learn how to land it (only about 6 so far have landed it in competition) and the few that can do it only do it for a few years before their growth spurt hits them and tend to reserve the jump in the most dire of competitions.

If you can do it off the ice, nice job, try it on the ice if you can which is harder to do and pray you can continue landing it after puberty hits you.

  2. Technically yes.

Most jumps start off ice. Once you become comfortable with it the jumps, them you can introduce it on the ice. You are ot the right path. Keep up the good work.

  3. You are a very talented person!
