Is it normal that I only have 24 teeth, not counting the wisdom teeth I'll get soon, I have braces am an 14?

I was reading about teeth and the article said that the average human mouth is supposed to have 32 teeth, but if they have their wisdom teeth removed, they will have 28 teeth.

My ortho said that I have a small mouth, so he pulled 4 of my teeth. Do some people have smaller mouths than others like me? Or am I really unusual. thanks

You are normal, most cases require 4 teeth to be removed
