Is it normal that a 8 year old boy that showers alone, from time to time asks for help during it?

The boy usually showers alone, but then one day he ask for help, the next week again ask for it. We didn't mind to help him, although we don't see any problem for him.

My son 8 years old also showers alone. He showers every morning, after physical exercise and sometimes in the evening as well. He showers independently. But somestimes he ask for help. I think it is normal kids in that age love attention and care.
