I use glasses for about 18 years and I never had a doctor giving me that much prescription. I used the glasses for a week now and I just feel that they are not right. I don't know if this is normal to just have the double of my old ones which I am wearing right now, which they are a little bit week but I can see just fine with them... Please someone respond

  1. I don't know much.

I know my mum when she had her glasses.

Sometimes you can go back a few times to get it right.

Or sometimes you will just have to wait for them to adjust.

Double is quite alot I think.

Maybe you could have taken too long to go back and see them when things started to get worse.

If in doubt. See an opthamologist.

    :-) Hope that helps.

  2. It depends on what your eye needs. I have no way of knowing what your eyes need. Your doctor does. What we do in this instance is that when a patient calls with trouble in their new RX we invite them in to recheck the way the glasses were made and we check the accuities to see how thely are actually seeing with the glasses. If things check out and we can find no reason for a problem, we then make a small recheck appointment to see the doctor. If the doctor fine tunes the RX the lab does pay for remakes of the glasses within a 90 day period of time.  Just give them a call and see what they say.  I have seen poele double in their RX, I have also seen things that are stranger. The big point is just to make sure what is right for you and your vision.

  3. Unless your prescription has changed, and I'm not sure when your last exam was, but if it was 18 years ago, then double is highly likely, and with any change in prescription your eyes have to adjust. But, it is totally possible a mistake was made, and if you think it is just off, then go back, tell the Dr., and you shouldn't be charged another dime for the correction, and they should flip the bill for the correct lenses in your glasses as well.
