  1. Well, if you've had it for two weeks, you shouldn't be touching it. You should just be gently washing it maybe twice a day. The raised spots often indicate that the tattoo artist was very heavy-handed. A properly done tattoo should not be raised up, but you could still be healing.

I wouldn't worry too much about it - leave it alone and it will likely disappear. If you're really worried, go show the guy who tattooed you. He should be able to tell you for sure.

  2. while this doesn't always happen sometimes this will happen while a tattoo is healing

  3. If you are washing it everyday and putting on plain, unscented lotion/ moisturiser then you are not doing anything wrong. My tattoos are all raised in certain areas and I've had some for at least 4 years! I agree that it has to do with individual healing sensitivity. Just make sure it never gets dry! Remember everyone heals differently..

    Goodluck hun!

  4. I can still feel all three of my tattoos and they all are raised. I think it is just the fact that you have ink under your skin that makes it raise. I wouldn't be alarmed.

  5. The parts of my tattoos that were solid and coloured in (ie, big coloured spots) they were raised for about a month after for all of them.

I believe this is normal cuz they are no longer raised.

    Probably a skin sensitivity.

Make sure to keep the ointment on it!

  6. It takes a full month before the skin is healed and in some areas that were  worked more than others, this can be longer yet.  Beyond that, persistent raised areas translate to scars.  It is not a case of ink occupying space.

After it is healed, if it still raises ON OCCASION this is more about reacting to the ink.
