  1. No there shouldn't be a taste.  Could it be the water where you live is soft enough and you do not require to add salt? I am central Scotland and have had dishwashers now for 28 years. Early on the technician told me it was not necessary to use salt and I should avoid it.  I am only on my second dish washer in all these years. Also I take it you are using the proper salt for dishwasher and not normal table salt or similar?

  2. Yes, mine does that after I have refilled the salt reservoir. Run it empty on a short cycle after refilling it! Ohhh and the taste won't hurt you.

  3. No you should not be able to taste salt. If you have this it could be a number of things. I would advise you to get a service engineer out to it.

  4. if this happening u have too much salt in reservoir.

  5. Yes just give em a rinse before you drink outta them n you should be fine :)

  6. Maybe you have to much salt in the dishwasher and not enough rinse aid.

  7. no - run it empty and try again

maybe you've put too much salt in

you are using the right salt aren't you?
