Well I'm gonna be a freshman in a week and i am extremely nervous. i was diagnosed two weeks ago I'm in the ending stage but i don't feel any better. the problem is i don't have a fever or a sore throat I'm just tired. so that's part of my reason. also i moved in 8th grade to a new school and i have friends but ever since the mono its been awkward I'm not contagious or anything. My middle school was like 80 kids in the grade and now im going to about 300 kids in my grade. i only know a couple from fh and i dont have many friends in my classes and i still have summer work to do. all i can say is i want to be back in middle school

  1. try to get a map before the first day of school. know where the wings are [english wing, math hallway...ect.]

if you get the list of class rooms then map out where you are going :) so you'll know the best routes to take.

buy your basic school supplies beforehand [a binder, folder, notebook/paper,pens,pencils,backpack] before hand that way all you'll have to buy after the first day is the necessities for each class.

don't worry about being harassed by upperclassman on the first day. i was a freshman last year and nothing happened to me OR anyone i knew.

just remember: you were in middle school at one time with the juniors and sophmores (when you were in 6th grade!) and the seniors really keep to themselves. dont be nervous-highschool is a time to have fun and be with your friends!

[[there's a really good book called: SLEEPING FRESHMAN NEVER LIE by david lubar]] try it. its good :)

  2. Its perfectly normal to be nervous going into high school for a first time.

The worst that could happen is a bit of anxiety, but that'll pass before you know it.

Freshman year was the worst for me, but its the easiest to make new friends

  3. yeahh dont worry

    high school is amazing

i was scared too but now i would never ever ever trade high school for a day at the middle school

the older kids you start to hang out with are wayy more fun and they dont start stupid c**p and drama... dont worry you'll love it soon!!!

  4. I want to be back in 8th grade too!! It was so much fun =D

But I was nervous before high school. It started August 27th.

I got lost in the C-Hall trying to find the A-Hall.

My school has probably more than 1000 kids...9th 10th 11th and 12th combined. So that was part of my problem of getting lost,

Then I found a short cut, So there! I'm getting use to the building already!

I've made new friends with some jocks who I never thought could be befriended...and I have a sophomore and junior study while I'm 1 of 4 freshmen...

The first day, I sucked it up...looked on bright sides...and I had a great day!! So will you!

Good luck!!! And don't forget, when your a senior, you'll be wishing you'll be a freshmen again, so make it a good year... =D

  5. I'm freakin out like crazy!

    You are definitely not alone!

Don't worry, you will make friends no problem!I'm starting over my whole life it seems!

i have no best friends, just a couple friends(my 2 best friends dumped me at the end of the year)

So i'm starting all over again!

    But it will be okay!

You will get used to everything so just calm down and be excited!Your going to be in HIGH SCHOOL!

    good luck!

  6. Yes it was scary for me, I'm a senior so I've gone thru it all....

    Senior year sucks thoe......

you will face many more things that are more scary than just being a freshman in highschool, trust me.

    be happy.

  7. yea i'm nervous like you.... school for me starts in 5 days and unlike you i'm going to a small high school (from what i've heard its close knit)

and i suggest you just be you, open up to new things cuz high school is made to be bigger and a little bit more difficult
