Question:

Is it normal to be worried that my baby might be born early?

With my first pregnancy I was worried I would never go into labor on my own. I never felt braxton hicks contractions and my cervix wasn't softening or dilating on its own. I ended up having to be induced a day before the babies due date.

This time for some reason I'm worried that the baby will come too early. I even had a dream about the exact date he was born at 36 weeks. I know the baby can survive being born that far along but I want him to stay there until at least 38 weeks!

  3. I think that it is normal to worry about all sorts of things when you are pregnant. It really does not sound like you are at a risk for pre term labor. Actually you sound like your babies like to stay all comfy in there and not join the world. I had the exact same issue that you have and wound up being induced with all 4 of my kids.

  4. yes, i worry about that as well. I think it's a mothers instint to worry about her childs health!

  5. Every mother worries about their children and the worrying doesn't begin when the baby is born, for most of us, it starts when you find out your pregnant. "Will I miscarry? Will it be healthy? Will I go into labor too early?"  Just try to relax and talk to your OB about your worries and see what they say. Best wishes!
