  1. Yes - absolutely - my daughter in law is just completing her law degree - You actually have a lead on most your age or even those already in college.  Be sure you know what it takes to be a lawyer.  You have to love to read, love to reason out logically both sides of an argument.  You have to love details, have a good memory and study, study, study, get good grades.  Check out all the different kinds of law too - its not like on TV.  Read everything and anything, get involved in debate teams and/or journalism in high school and take every opportunity to talk to lawyers, para-legals (they do alot of the routine work and research for the lawyers - that's what my son does).  Good luck!

  2. Ignoring the loser above me, yes it's normal. I made a choice at age 13 to go into Law. I'm still sticking by it, and have been to two solicitors (Lawyers) for work experience in the past year. I'm 17 now.

If you truly feel that line of work is for you, then I see no reason as to why you would have trouble pursuing it in later life.

    Hope I've helped

  3. If its what you really want sure! Some people just know what they want to do!

  4. Well its awesome to have dreams and a passion but at such a young age it is hard to determine what you want to do when you become an adult. People change their minds a lot and in time you may find another passion or path to choose. Though its all up to you, just do well in school and prepare for requirements in the fields you choose to do.

When the time comes you may find that you have a passion for many elements in that field and you may try something else similar or heck even go all the way and do it. Though don't completely limit yourself and keep an open mind because you would be surprised by where people find themselves after school and such.

For instance as a toddler to elementary school I wanted to be an architect and would draw and build things all the time. In high school I planned to take pharmacy, or be in the medical field doing x-rays or being a lab tech. Though I soon discovered after one year of university that i hated chem, and that being around suffering people and blood wasn't my passion (hmm who would of thought). I have one year left then I'm going to be an architectureal tech. It has many elements I love and the right environment for me to excel and work in. Some of my old teachers were so excited when I told them what I was doing the last time I saw them ha ha.

My first week of secondary school they showed that nearly like 80% or more students changed their course or field of education during their time as a student. So don't feel worried if things don't work out but try to find your passion and something you can grow in and make a career out of. Though being 12 you still got lots of time to start deciding and preparing.

  5. Not Normal. But, good for you.

If that is your career choice in life... go for it.

It's a lot of hard work but it sounds like your ready to tackle the challenge.

    Wish you the best !

  6. It happens, but I wouldn't say it's normal. I think the majority of people have much different interests at 18 (college age) than they did when they were 12. But if you're really passionate about it, then sure, it could happen.
