Question:

Is it normal to dream every single time you go to sleep?

Lately, everytime I sleep, whether it be a quick nap or a full rest, I have a dream. I know that most people have dreams now and then, but is it normal to go into the "dreaming phase" EVERY single time you go to sleep? Most of the dreams that I have are bad dreams, like something that makes you subconciously cry or scream in the middle of the night. I'm not thinking about anything bad when I go to bed or at all for the matter, so why is this happening? Please help me. 10 points for best, thorough answer! Thanks in advance.

  1. Yes, but bad dreams are not good, a lot of people believe that dream catchers help, but you can also get medication if it gets to serious, try not watching tv or going on your computer before you go to sleep, cause ur mind turns what u just saw completly around and just makes things weird, and make sure to breathe in and out and relax your body before you go to sleep, and if it continues tell your parents and get them to do something

  2. Well, I have heard that everyone dreams each time their minds becomes unconscious during sleep, but that most of the time we just don't remember our dreams.

  3. it is totally normal to have a dream every nite (good & bad).. just that not everyone remembers their dreams.. and bad dreams maybe upsetting.. but its you minds way of dealing with problems in your real life.. and dreams aren't always about what we see in them.. they can represent other things in our lives..(symbolize) i've dreamed about tons of spiders coming after me, of all different sizes.. and it's how the dream makes you feel.. this spider dream made me feel overwhelmed.. which is what was going on in my waking life.. I had to much I was trying to deal with at once, dream helped teached me I need to deal with one thing at a time.

when you have bad dreams (any dreams) don't over anyalize what you see in your dream.. just think of how it made you feel.

Also again, this is your minds way of dealing.. as other wise you'd go insane! it's like you are your own SUBCONSIOUSE theoropist!

    SWEET DREAMS!

  4. yes its kinda normal... i have kind of the same problem...like i keep having nightmares about death every since my grandfather passed..and i didnt think it was normal at first but everybody has dreams or nightmares sometime

  5. yes, you're suppose to dream everytime you sleep, your brain doesn't black out when you're asleep, it keeps on working even if you're sleeping. sometimes we think we don't dream, because we sometimes don't remember them when we wake up.
