  1. Why would anyone want to fall in love with an abuser that has no personality and manipulates his girlfriend? Your poor boyfriend.

  2. It just means you've gotten really into the book, lol. Try to save some of that love for your boyfriend tho!

  3. Why anyone would fall in love with a poorly written character, like yours, is beyond me.

I, on the otherhand, tend to fall in love with characters that are so well written to the point that they seem so real. For example, Stephen Barley in The Historian. I would want a guy like him. He has his faults, but is definitely dependable and smart.

  4. You're a disgusting excuse for a human being.

And the reason your boyfriend doesn't like it is that it leads you idiot girls all over the world to set ridiculous expectations for what guys are supposed to be like. And so of course it's our fault we can't be vampires. Puke.

  5. No but with twilight it is!

  6. Yeah,  ask your boyfriend is he is in love with his fav movie star. Mila Kunis, alica silverstone etc.  He might get the picture if he admits it at all.  Many people transfer their love to fictional characters.  And you will admit that you are in love with the concept of the character.  If he were to walk through the door it would pose a whole raft of other responses and circumstances.  Thats why they call them "Romance novels"

  7. I knew immediately you were talking about Edward.

I've never talked to anyone talking about Twilight who said they weren't in love with Edward.

So I guess that's pretty normal.

  8. OMG i was going to say you were crazy

but as it is edward i totally forgive you,

    BUT BACK OFF ******

    he is MINE...

    so dreamy!!

  9. It's not normal, and kind of creepy. He's NOT REAL.

Just think of it this way. Do you really want to love a boy who sneaks into your room to watch you sleep, without your knowledge? Do you want a boy who has his family kidnap you just because he feels like it? Do you want a boy who DISMANTLES your car so you can't go see a friend?

  10. live for the real.

imagination can only get you so far.

i know i wouldnt appreciate it if i were your boyfriend

  11. Literary crushes are super fun! It's normal, your boyfriend IS the nutso. :)

I have had my fair share of fictional crushes. I asked a question similar to this topic entitled, "Got a fictional crush?" And guess what, majority answered Edward Cullen, and I'm totally not surprised.

Here are my current fictional crushes:

Edward Cullen from Twilight series (no, duh!)

Emmett Cullen from Twilight series (carefree and funny? my kind of guy!)

Jasper Cullen from Twilight series (hmm..I sense a love for Cullen boys here...)

Luke Brandon from the Shopaholic series

Landon Carter from A Walk To Remember

I would advise you, though, not to expect your boyfriend to be like Edward Cullen. Don't tell him, "Why can't you sparkle like Edward?" or "Why can't you be romantic like Edward?" Saying those things may offend him, and in the end, you just might lose him. So don't compare your boyfriend to Edward, because remember, your boyfriend is real, but (sadly) Edward isn't. It's fun to have some literary crushes, but remember it's all fictional.

  12. Wow.  When I saw that title question, I immediately knew it was Edward Cullen.

I'm not sure if it's NORMAL per say, but it's very common for many girls to fall in love with either Edward or Jacob. lol.  I mean, just look at my name...

    :)

  13. If the fictional character is perfect, i.e. Edward Cullen, I'd say it's normal.

(Don't worry, you're not the only Edward lover out there :] )

  14. lol yeah same here

i do it all the time....im in love with edward too hard not to lol

  15. Yep happens all the time. Don't worry...it'll pass.

  16. lol I knew you were gonna say him too. My friend says she doesn't ever get crushes on real people, just fictional, i.e. Edward. she totally loves Edward. I ahven't read the books, so don't sympathize. funny, though.

  17. okay can you name one Twilight fan who hasn't fallen in love with Edward?!?! it is totally normal because he is soooo fine. it's called a literary love
