  1. hi yes i would definitely say this is normal try doing it on a mat first and then gradually onto harder ground example grass or something hopefully this will help you to over come your fear of falling and instead you will get used to doing it on one surface and focus on just doin it.

    hope this helps :)

  2. Yes, im sure like EVERYONE who attempts their first backflip on ground are scared s**+tless . E.g. ME

BUT, never try a backflip on ground first! Not without spotters anyway.

If you're new to back-flips, try going to the gymnasium and doing them onto soft mats or sponge pits. When you're familiar with the whole jumping up and tucking backwards, then you should try doing it on ground with spotters.

Gradually, as you become more familiar with doing backflips on ground with spotters, go for it! but have someone close to you ready to help you if you bail.

    Hope this helps =]

  3. yeah this is to-tally normally! my sister used to be on a statewide and part national team and she was to-tally afraid. She just had a spotter help her every time until she got it!. A spotter could be anyone from a friend to a parent. It becomes easier each time trust me. Its like riding your bike for the first time.. your gonna fail and your definitely not get it on the first try! good luck you can do it! (if i can so can you TRUST ME!!LOL)

  4. ya its normal i would be scared too

  5. Yes its is normal, I guess the reason for that is because your brains thinking of the worse what could happen, instead, try thinking of the best that could happen.

  6. I have a friend who has a similar problem. It is normal and the best thing to do is to just get any fear you have of falling completely out of your head, because if you can physically do it then the only problem is the mental aspect of the flip.

Just try not to over think it and just go for it.

    Good luck!

  7. yes almost everyone feel scared when doing a backflip for the first time on ground.  just make sure you dont attempt it if you are not completely sure you can do it.

  8. DON'T just go for it, if you're unsure!

Get someone to spot you!!!. They'll flip you over if you look as if you going to land straight on your head. Gradually they'll become less and less involved to the point where you are doing it completely on your own.
