Is it normal to have a week break before your next period?

I had my last period aug. 5 to aug.11 ( 7 days) then on august 18 i got my period again? Is this normal? I've had my period for 3-4 years now. I'm 16.

not normal but probably not abnormal enough to be worried about it.  if it bothers you, see a doc.
