Is it normal to love someone even after they ignore and hate you?

My ex friend (we both liked each other) and I got into a fight and stopped talking. We both said hurtful things to one another. I've been trying to email him, but he ignores them...I'm pretty certain he hates me now. But I can't get myself to hate him back...I honestly just want him to be happy. I really do love and miss him. Why is it impossible for me to hate people?

You're afraid to move on to new relationships, so you're hanging on to this one.  If you are still "in love" with him and put all your energy into missing him, you don' t have to worry about meeting new people and making new relationships, which can be scary.  You're hiding.  Stop trying to contact him, boys don't like that.

He 'hates' you now right? If he hates you,stop talking to him because it'll make you look desperate and he'll find it annoying that you keep on emailing him.Forget the guy and don't hang on and don't expect things to change.

for me it is impossible to hate people. i know how you feel. i think you should just get better friends.

Let him know you care about him, if he refuses to respond to you then try and move on because hes not worth your time and energy.
