Question:

Is it normal to not have diarrhea while traveling, then back home all of a sudden get it???

went to Mexico for two weeks working and volunteering with poor people etc.

felt fine there a day or so after getting back, wicked bad intestinal and stomach cramps and diarrhea and bad gas for the last two days...?

should I be concerned or just wait it out?

  1. you should be concerned you should go to your doc, it can be anything from travelers diarrhea to a bad infection you got in mexico.


  2. you could have been exposed to a bacteria that causes diarrhea. . . and yes it is possible because it takes time for the bacteria to have an effect on ur body. . . you should be concerned about this. . have a stool exam to help determine what bacteria may have caused it, to be able to take the medication. . . don't wait out because you may be loosing fluid and electrolytes which can cause dehydration. .  

  3. that happend to me when i went to lake george lol...i think its just peoples bodies not being used to a place idk lol

  4. Please see a doctor just in case. I just researched some similar info yesterday. Your symptoms could be the result of a virus or bacteria..worm ..ect. Diarrhea leads to dehydration..if too much you can seriously get ill. Go get checked out.
