I am 8weeks pregnant and i have a bit of nausea but no vomiting. I tend to always have a nasty taste in my mouth, the last thing i ever want to drink is water. I know you have to drink lots of water but i just don't have a taste for it. Please help. Is their something i can drink as an alternative? Will this harm the baby that I'm not drinking water?

I find that when i drink ginger ale soda it helps with the nausea so i drink 1 per day.

Has anyone else experienced this?

  1. I am 6 1/2 weeks, and all I can do right now is drink water.  I can't seem to handle anything sweet at all.

  2. i cant touch water and I'm 8 weeks pregnant i have been drinking lemonade,

apart from when i had to have a scan and drink water it makes me sick

  3. When I first got pregnant I was always so thirsty I pounded water, but I too was nausous most of the day.  Although water is the healthiest fluid to drink, I found that drinking gingerale reduced by nausea big time, so I would have one of those a day and I would boil water and throw slices of fresh ginger in there and drink that like tea, it also helped reduce my nausea significantly!  Hang in there, and congradulations!!

  4. i am going through the same thing, right now, i hate water, i do add a little lime to it or i drink the flavored waters, but at least drink a few cups a day after all we dont want you to be dehydrated
