Recently, my optometrist found a tear on my retina and advised me to have eye surgery. She mentioned something about lattice?? Anyways, she said that the surgery will repair the tear and eliminate floaters. Before surgery, I rarely saw floaters; now, I constantly see 3! Is this normal?

  1. For some people it is normal, some not. It depends on exactly what was fixed and how they fixed it. Your best bet is to call the doctor's office and find out from them if it is considered normal for your situation or not.
