  1. I've been dancing since I was three (now 13), and stiffness is very common. If you feel stiff, you definitely need to STRECH OUT. You can't expect to do the splitz for the first time or without stretching. So try stretching EVERY SINGLE DAY. Don't over stretch though because you will be soo sore the next day. I'm not too sure about being confused unless you have no idea how to do something. I would just pay close attention, loosen up, and just have fun in your dance classes. ;D

  2. definitely the stiffness is usually nerves just relax they dont expect you to go in knowing everything just have fun and relax like all things it takes time you'll get it

  3. well classes are for people to learn in, so it would make sense. If you knew everything then you wouldn't be going. Even if you are less able than the other people attending the class, it doesn't matter. You all will be there to learn and experience so if you learn more, then you get more out of the experience. Have fun and your body will loosen up and dancing will become second natured

  4. Is there any other way?

  5. the stiffness is very very very uncommon !

it's not a sign of inflexibility, it means that you are nervous and don't really feel at ease.

if you just loosen up, the rest will come naturally.

when i started a new class this year, i stood in the corner, all stiff, not knowing what to do. i would pretend to follow along, but i had no idea what i was doing !

just take some time to get used to it, it gets better, i promise !

  6. Oh absolutely.

Everyone usually starts dance with a stiff body , no flexibility, and  a lack of musicality......just stay in class and you'll loosen up!
