  1. No.

  2. If its a ten year old boy who would obviously be starting puberty.... Then WOW he gota love that!!

But omg NO that is just so wrong!

  3. 10 year old???no, its not normal. It will affect the mother's health also......doesn't he have anything else to fill his stomach?

  4. No, you only breast feed a child until they can get the nutrients they need by eating. If the kid demands it I would try switching him/her onto goats milk it taste better than Cow's milk and in the end it will be better for them to get away from the habit of breast feeding.

  5. It's nobody's business but the mother's and the ten-year-old's.

The majority of children would self-wean before ten, but there are always exceptions...

Normal? No. That doesn't mean there's a problem with it, though.

  6. No.

    Don't think so.

    After switching to bottle feeding.

They prefer to moo like the cow with the bottle.

    What do you think?

  7. No. People generally say that if the child is old enough to ask then they are to old.

  8. OMG he'll feel humiliated when he is older ~ don't do that anymore!

  9. No not normal.

  10. No I don't think it is normal. It has become normal for you so will require some strategies to help you and your child to give up this habit. Think about talking to a dr.

  11. i dont think so no.. if the kid can ask for the boob to come out there to old

  12. Nowez !!!

  13. Nope.  Most mothers stop breastfeeding when the child is 2 years old, if not sooner.

  14. no its not normal to breast feed a 10 yr old...hez all grown up to eat...i dont think its ok to do so just cause both of u r okay with it...im sure ur harming both ur self n ur kid..at times u have to make the difficult choices...

  15. Most people begin to ween their children off breast feeding around age 1 to 2 years old. At that young age, the nutrients are very helpful for brain development. Breast feeding at age10 does not physically harm a child, but it certainly does mentally. Breast feeding is generally reserved for small children, so breast feeding at age 10 will inevitably make the child feel and act younger. This will most likely lead to the child being teased and abused by his/her peers, which will phsycologically hurt him/her later in life.

  16. It's not normal,nor is it healthy.

  17. 10 year old girls can menstruate.

10 year old boys, if they can get access, would look up 'pictures' on the internet.

It's utterly abnormal and needs approached by social services as it threatens the child's ability to have normal relationships.

  18. no its not normal

  19. No.  It's definitely not normal.

  20. No.  That would make me think that the mother was pushing for breastfeeding to continue, and sounds psychologically unhealthy.

That being said, to everyone who says stop at a year??!!!!  WRONG.  Breast milk has been proven to be the right food for children up to even past 5!  And the worldwide age for children to self-wean is between 3-4 years.  It's totally normal and healthy.

Here's a great link from someone who actually knows what she's talking about!!!!!

  21. There is no law when to stop breast feeding I don't think. I do think at around 2 or some people sooner stop. There is a story out there where a mother breast fed until she was 8 or 9. The story is on you tube.

  22. i don't think so but other people feel different if ur happy 2 do it then go for it but its something i wouldn't do

  23. Omg  No Way....

  24. no it is totally not all right, you might want to see a shrink if you still are because that is ABUSE!!!!

  25. No!  It is not required nutritionally, and there is something seriously wrong if the child still needs it for comfort.  At that age, it is very wrong morally, socially etc - and bordering on being a little freaky!

  26. its kind of looked down upon...ok... REALLY looked down upon. most children should stop breastfeeding by the time they are at least a year old. if your child is old enough to feed itself then it definatly shouldnt be sucking at your teet. most kids can feed themselves by the age of about two and a half.

  27. no god no. they dont need the milk plus socially and mentally this is twisted.

  28. NO

  29. Its not at all normal! I have heard of such practices existing in certain tribal areas in Nepal, though. But that seems to be an exception rather than the rule. Breast feeding provides the mother and the child with a level of mental comfort and emotional bonding. But if this is practiced beyond a certain age then there is something emotionally wrong with either of them.

WHO recommends a minimum of 2 years of breast feeding, which is taken as the norm in these days. Though its not uncommon to see children breastfed up to 4 years (or when they start school).
