  1. yes, occasional depression is to be expected from time to time, as long as it is not unrelenting and ongoing, the pills are doing as they are intended to do.  Remember, antidepressants are a wonderful help to those of us who are depressed, but they are NOT happy pills, and if you are not also getting some therapy, let me urge you to do so, because if you don't address the issues causing your mental state, over time, medications simply won't work anymore.

  2. YES

  3. You should see your doctor again.  Your dose may need to be increased.  It is good to keep in close communication with your doctor if you feel worse or have any side effects.  The doctor is there to help you.

I have bipolar disorder and used to get depressed a great deal.  Medication is helping now.

  4. Yes, it is normal.  Are you also in counseling?  IMO it takes both to get through it.

Has anyone discussed the idea that lots of depression is unresolved anger?

  5. I am sorry to say I think it is very common.

I am glad you are feeling better most of the time.

If you notice the depression is getting worse, your doctor may increase your dose or try something else.  Keep talking to your doctor.

I have been depressed for many years and even though I have been taking medications for years, I still feel great depression at times.

Cherish the days you feel less depressed.  Best Wishes.
