  1. If a house guest offer to help out I usually give them the lighter, pleasanter jobs.  A little vacuuming, dusting, things like that.  Perhaps a little ironing.  I would never ask them to clean the kitchen or bathroom because even if they are not gross, it is still hard work.

  2. Put on the rubber gloves, face mask and eye protection and do the really dirty work yourself. People never clean the same way you do.

  3. well if they offered to do cleaning, mention the bathroom and say, "if it's too gross for you, just say so."  is your bathroom really THAT gross?  hair isn't that gross.  gross is a filthy toilet -- you know -- guys peeing all over the toilet and getting it on the floor, etc.  ewwwwwwwwwwwww  THAT'S gross!  don't you boys have any control over that thing?  LOL

  4. If you haven't hired them then it's a little rude to ask someone to clean a really private area of your house.

It's like asking them to pick up your dirty knickers!

  5. if you hired someone, then no, they should do everything. But if it's a freind then just get them to vac the floors and do a bit of dusting. Maybe mop the tiled floors & lino.
