No way! Many people collect pennies (and other types of coins) I worry that pennies will not be used someday.

It's not odd, that question is just some old myth.

In fact, it's actually good to collect pennies.

Some people believe that if you collect a penny on:

- Heads = good luck

- Tails = bad luck

But that's just another myth...

Also, people can collect pennies for these reasons as well:

- just for 1 cent more in $$$.

- collecting them to see how many they can get overall in a lifetime/etc.

Lots of ways you can think of it...

So, you can still collect pennies even if your 90 and people won't think your odd.

I know at least 30 people your age who collect pennies and all other types of coins. I personally have a complete set. Its totally fine.

no, are you collecting ALL pennies or just the old ones w/ the wheatbacks?  are you saving them for a purpose, or are you going to spend them later?  i work in retail and i save any coin older than 1960, don't know why that year, but i do.

No, it's a pretty cool hobby. I collect quaters from different states when i was 13 years old and currently still collecting them.

I started about your age ,I'm 59 now and still collect. i have the original coin sleeves i started with too. I collect other coins too but for some reason I like the pennies best.
