  1. Yes it is okay. I've called my students outside of school and I've had teacher peers that have also called if not even met with parents.

Your teacher is asking because they are attempting to get a better picture of you. Things happen in your home life could be influencing your school life and acadmics. Your teacher needs to know.

You are lucky your teacher cares enough. It's the kids that I truly care about that I make the extra effort.

  2. i have to agree with the teacher :)

  3. Of course it is.

I used to have my students fill out an index card with all their contact information the first day of classes. I called parents with good news and bad news as often as i could.

You are a minor. This means your parents are your guardians/caretakers until you are of legal age.

You are lucky to have a teacher who cares enough to take the time.

Study. Learn.  Make sure your life makes a difference.

  4. Sure, if it educationally related and will benefit you education.

  5. Yes, a teacher can call a parent or guardian. It shows that they care about you and how you are doing in school. It would have been better though if the teacher had asked you first about your out of school activities before calling your home.

  6. This ain't about politics and religion. She can call your house anytime she wants and ask anything she wants.
