  1. of course its fine as long as it is diluted

dont make it a huge habit just because it has so much sugar, but getting ur child's stomach use to different food and liquids is good for them.. so do it

Just do what u feel is right for ur child

  2. Pedilyte is a great thing to give them to stay hydrated if you are worried about dehydration.  Gatorade though is ok too just watch and make sure it doesn't give him diareah and only give it once or twice a day in small amounts because it has a lot of sugar in it too.

  3. yes it's ok, it's not going to hurt him.  also try pedialite, it's healthier and easier to keep down when they are hot.

  4. I know that both my sons ages 10 and 7 aren't allowed by their football coaches to have gatorade.  It really isn't a kids drink.  It was originally designed as a drink for grown men football players (Hence 'gator' ade.... as in the Florida Gators football team)  It wasn't formulated for kids.  We live in Nevada where it gets seriously hot most of the summer, our pediatrician suggested Pedialite when my son was little.... Also I would get him used to water now.  Give him a bottle of ice water accessible at all times during the day.  That is the best thing to do IMHO.  I have always given my kids water when they are thirsty and now that is their drink of choice over all the 'ades' and sugary drinks.

I hope this helped some!!!  Thank the Lord summer is almost over!!!  LOL

  5. eh i suppose as long as just like one fourth of it is gatorade then yehh it ok, also i think befor he could get dehydrated he would probably want some water.

  6. Its ok...it has allot of sugar but its not going to hurt him

  7. I think it is okay, gatorade is almost just like Pedialyte which is safe for babies. You may also want to try flavored water, the grape Aquafina is really good.

  8. It's deffinetley okay, but i would suggest using something like pedialite instead, which is meant for babies

If he doesnt like it then hey stick with the gatorade bit make sure he still has his formula or breakmilk or whatever he may be drinking, as this is a very important source of nutrients for a baby so little

  9. I heard something really awful from a dentist about Gatorade. Children should not be given gatorade. It dissolves the enamel on children's teeth. I gave my daughters gatorade all the time until I found this out from the dentist. I was told that children should only be given gatorade when they need it, when they are sick or when they are dehydrated if you can't get a hold of pedialite. There are healthier alternatives to gatorade. Give him watered down fruit juice but not all day and get him into the habbit of drinking water. His teeth will thank you. Have a great night and God bless.
