Is it ok for a mother naming her child some anime names?

i was just wondering cuz maybe it might be cool if a mother named her

daughter sakura but also would other people make fun of her name?

I think its ok to name your baby whatever you want to name, within reason.  I start thinking its too much when people start naming their kids things like Chlamydia (real child in the US named after an std)

I don't know about Sakura.  That's the name of a Chinese restaurant in my town, so it would be kind of funny to meet someone named Sakura.  But we plan on naming our son Kilik which is the name of a character(not sure if it's Chinese or Japanese though) on the video game Soul Calibur.  Considering some of the names I've seen lately, it honestly wouldn't be that weird, and if you're into anime then it'd be pretty cool for you.

it's ok to name you're child any name you like,the name is for you to like not others only.

There's really no such thing as an anime name.

They are all Japanese names.

But if you live in America, the kid should have an American name.
