  1. I could never be a vegan to tell you the truth! ha, ha!

I would want them to kill the spiders. I'm too scared to kill them myself.

  2. i kill the poisonous ones if they are in my house, but if they are outside and not bothering anything i leave them be

  3. No, it's not. Vegans wish to minimize animal suffering, not contribute to it.

  4. Its not ok for anyone to kill spiders. They have as much right to the planet as we do. Even the scary ones!

  5. idk thats for you to decide there are no rules for vegans

  6. It depends on what their incentives for being a vegan are.

  7. It isn't ok for anyone to kill spiders. Spiders kill and eat other virus carrying insects. They are one of the best organic pest controlls out there.

  8. Funny and clever question!   You shouldn't kill spiders; they help the environment.  But I think it's ok to kill cockroaches as a vegan.  :o)

  9. Yes it is ok and it is also ok to kill flies, aunts, wasps and deer.

  10. NO, DOT, it is not ok unless it is of a species that puts the lives of other humans or animals at risk. These would include black widows and brown recluses.

  11. surley the question should be 'is it ok for vegans to kill carrotts'

  12. As long as you don't eat it.

  13. Yeah of course! What does eating have to do spiders?

  14. No.

  15. yes they deserve it...

  16. vegans should NOT kill anything!!!

  17. My guess is no.  I'm a vegetarian and although I have an irrational fear of spiders, I don't personally kill them.  Then again, I don't rescue them either.  I'm too scared to go anywhere near them, so I get someone else to catch and release them for me.

  18. Even if your aren't a vegan you still shouldn't kill spiders. They're living things too. And their webs are true art.

  19. It's okay as long as you don't use the webs to make clothes.

  20. I don't. They're not harming anyone, why don't they deserve to live?

  21. Only by pouring vegetable oil over them or pounding them with seeds.

  22. No,don't kill them, catch them in a jar and let then free outside.

  23. Of course it is.  This goes back to the question of conscientious objectors during the Great War.  The Board would ask objectors what they would do if they caught a German raping their sister.  If they would kill them in those circumstances, then why not at war?

So, what would YOU do if you caught a spider raping your sister?  Or, in this age of political correctness, your brother?

  24. No they are living animals too.

  25. no, it's mean leave them alone.

    they won't hurt you

someone called vampire should not be afraid of little tiny arachnids

  26. No. We avoid meat and fish because an animal has been killed so we'd be a bit hypocritical to kill spiders. Just because they're not cute or furry doesn't mean we've got a right to kill them.

  27. definitely not!

  28. Spiders help catch nasty mosquitoes!! I HATE mosquitoes!!

  29. Lol!!! Well most vegans are vegan because we respect all life (exept for all the helpless plants...they deserve to be eaten...jk lol!!!) so i thinnk most of us vegans would just take it outside but i dont think its non-vegan to kill a spider...but then again it depends on who you ask...

  30. why would you? All they do is get rid of other insect pests.

  31. Killing spiders seems to go against the whole ethos of veganism.

Veganism is about minimising animal suffering, and it's more than a diet, it's a lifestyle. By definition, vegans don't use animals for food, clothing, entertainment, or any other purpose- so why would it be ok to kill spiders, which belong to the animal kingdom?
