  1. why not? i wouldn't consider it rude or anything

  2. If it was a new glass then NO! Call and complain.

  3. It depends on the restaurant; however, they should ask you if you're done or not. I don't see anything wrong with it, but I'm don't drink.

  4. I am not a waiter, but a frequent diner and it depends. If I am drinking from a bottle, then there is just one glass. If I am just drinking by the glass, then he usually will just bring a brand new glass and then I have my own time to finish the one I am working on. Not combining needed.

  5. I would be fine with it,

I mean its kinda wasteful if he doesnt and if its a really good wine, why waste whats really good right?

Its all up to the establishment, either way its ok.

  6. Tacky.

It won't kill you or anything. It's just ... tacky.

  7. I'll be short and blunt.... NO.

  8. That's crass and low class. Not ok at all. Ew.

  9. no-- if he added wine to the glass you were drinking out of that is ok, but if he brought a new glass and then added the old wine thats not acceptable

  10. Its pretty tacky, but it wouldn't get him fired.

  11. Yes but its pretty tackY!

  12. Its not good restaurant etiquette. However, it is acceptable if it doesn't offend you.

  13. If it's good who cares

  14. no

cause then whats the whole point of a new glass

its best they ask you first, but better to just leave it in the same glass and take it away when you have finished

  15. Yuk!  That'll make it all warm and nasty!  No, he should ask if you're finished or just leave it there.

  16. Never! If you order another glass of wine you should be allowed to finish your first glass completely and then that glass should be removed from the table. He/she should bring you a clean, full glass of wine for your second glass.

  17. depends on the standard of the restaurant
