  1. I'd do it... it'd probably be good boiled with some butter:P

  2. No, It is not digestable unless like a cow you have 2 stomaches.

  3. Actually I eat grass alot... I am fine... nothing bad has happened yet..... so it is safe to eat.

  4. it has no nutritiional value.

you would turn into a baby calf.

  5. yeah, it's a plant which is like a vegetable and vegetables are great so yeah

  6. Grass is edible, but does not contain much nutrition.

  7. i guess but like u said id be cleaning it heaps.. just incase a dog peed on it.. ya know??

  8. I highly doubt that grass will fulfill the dietary requirements of a human being.  Grass is a plant, and therefore has cellulose cell walls surrounding its cells.  These walls can not be digested by humans, this is why we pass stool after eating foods high in fiber, ie plants.

If our economy resorts to a grass diet, the most obvious result, will be the death of many, due to starvation.

  9. grass is fine to eat. lots of people blend it in smoothies

  10. Rice, wheat and bamboo are all types of grasses that humans eat so yes, it is safe to eat grass.

  11. Humans cannot digest grass. If you were to eat grass it wouldn't hurt you but you would not get any nutrition from it. So no, it cannot substitute for food.

  12. Toddlers do it, I don't see why not. If I am still alive its probably a safe bet. Though, we don't use pesticides.

I don't know how good it tastes?

woah... forget my answer, listen to the smarties ^^^

  13. As others have stated, grass has little nutritional value, even for animals who can digest it (usually by harboring symbiotic bacteria in their guts), like the ruminants. We don't have such symbionts so we'd simply starve.

But even supposing that you could complement a grass diet with some adequate proteins, etc, there's another (mechanical) problem.

Grass plants contain high concentrations of silica crystals. They evolved those crystals as protection, to deter herbivores from eating them. Silica grinds and wears the surface of the teeth till they cannot work properly in mastication. The animals who specialized as grazing herbivores have teeth that grow continuously throughout their lives, and thus compensate for the wear caused by their diet. We don't have those kind of teeth (we'd have to design some kind of processing to de-silicate the grass leaves before eating them).

  14. Ask someone before you eat grass

  15. before you eat it i would ask your doctor about it

  16. Cite where people ate grass in WWII if you want to be taken seriously. Plenty of birds, fish and deer running around. No reason to have a cow diet.

  17. It's better to smoke it. I have two big bags of grass clippings if you want to make a salad or some soup.

  18. People eat wheat and alfalfa sprouts, both forms of grass. Humans are unable to digest the complex sugars found in imature grass (the green stuff you mow). We all eat the seed from mature grass: rice, wheat, rye and oat flour.
