Is it ok for me to cut some of leaves off my zucchini plant or will it damage my plant ?

  1. Zucchini are very hardy plants and get very big so if there are plants near, they have to be trimmed.


  2. Only pick off dead leaves.

  3. You can cut off some leaves. Only cut of the older ones where there is not fruit nearby. The old leaves will fall off anyways.

  4. The leaves are there for a reason, to shade & protect the fruit. I wouldn't cut any off.

  5. No, it's fine. Many people trim leaves off to let the fruit get more sunlight. Don't take more than half the leaves off.
