Is it ok for my 4 month old mauzer (maltese x mini schnauzer) puppy to get a few hours' walk each day?

She never seems tired or sits down when we are walking and she isn't on a leash as we walk around a deserted headland. I'm concerned we are damaging her joints even though she seems to like this much exercise and is still fairly active the rest of the day.

A few hours at one time is a little much for a puppy that age.

However, since she is going to be a small breed, her joints should be fine. If she was going to be and x-large breed then i would say yes that you are doing damage to her.

I would break the walks up over periods of time. 20 minutes per walk. Try exercising her in other ways like playing fetch or teaching her new tricks. Swimming is a great activity too, it tired them out and is very low impact for the joints.
