  1. Cats usually sleep for 20 hours a day. It's usual,so nothing to worry about this matter. Some kittens sleep for 12 hours while some for 18 hours so it doesn't matter.Secondly, about the mother cat,I think the kitten is not old enough to be separated from it's mother.Leave it for a few months. My cat used to love her kittens so much that she always licked them and now, when she is about her second litter and the kittens are approximately 6 or 7 months, she hisses at them. She will make them leave the house. So,when your kitten becomes old enough to be separated, then separate it.

  2. He could be a little bit stressed which would cause such long sleeping periods.  However, on the issue of his meow, theres many causes for such behavior.  For example, theres a cat here that was exposed to asbestos before she came here and unfortunately she cannot meow at all.  Is there any possibility he was exposed to any chemicals?  But its nothing to get very worried about since it could just be a change hes going through.  Before you let him be adopted I would recommend a vet visit.  Not only would the adoptees be more willing to take him knowing he had a recent vet visit, but just think about how some young child would feel if you allowed his family to adopt the kitten, unaware of any illness, and the child got very attached to the kitten and it passed away.  Its a good idea to have all animals checked by the vet before you sell, give away, or purchase them.  And as for him being away from his mother, theres always going to be some stress from being taken away from there mom.  Any animal has that issue and theres truly nothing you can do unless you keep him.  If your truly that worried about him being away from his mother, I would recommend that you keep him or give him to a friend or family member who lives close by so you can take his mother to visit him.  Whatever you choose to do, I hope the best for you and your little kitten.

  3. can u keep him .

  4. Cats do normally sleep between 18-20 hours a day. They also have different personalities, just like humans, and he may just be different than his siblings.

However, if he is having other issues like the weird meow (you don't say whether or not he has always had a crackly voice or if this is a resent development) and is sleeping while the other kittens are playing around him you may want to get him checked out by your veterinarian.

  5. take your kitten to the vet to make sure he's alright. But, maybee you should see if you could keep him.

  6. if you think will be problem with separation . He may need to stay around momma a little longer . was he the runt .. ..

  7. Yep they take a lot of naps but my cat sleeps with me at night and takes a couple in the day.

  8. Sleeping for up to 20 hours a day is normal for cats, especially for cats that don't need to hunt for their food.  However, if his voice has changed it could indicate an illness (one that also causes a sore throat).  Sick cats can become lethargic and sleep more than usual.  You need to get him checked over by a vet to make sure he doesn't have any illnesses.

If he is ill, you won't be able to send him to a new home till he's fully recovered and you won't be able to home his littermates either if the illness is infectious.
