Is it ok if a Nissan SR20 motor has been put into an 1980 BMW 320?

the car is $5000 and I would like to buy it. interior has been done the guy is a mechanic but does it matter if the motor is a different brand to the car??HELP ASAP!!!!!! need to know..

  1. Check with the Bureau of Motor vehicles to see if it can properly title without a lot of hassle, then with the insurance company of your choice about insurability. Finally have it checked by a certified mechanic to make sure everything is done right, then I'd spend my $5000 on a real BMW!
