  1. You need to add chemicals to kill the chlorine amonia and any nitrates it may have but it is good to use after the chemicals are in there


  2. -Saltwater holds less oxygen than than freshwater. You need to increase gaseious exchange.

    -Saltwater animals are less tolerant of poor water quality. You need increased filtration.

    -Saltwater animals generally require a higher pH than most freshwater animals. You need to buffer the system.

  4. No, marine tanks need a lot more than salt to keep salt water fish alive.  There is a whole ecosystem to think about in a saltwater tank.  They need live rock, sand, protein skimmers, different filtration, etc, etc.
