  1. No.  It would do in a pinch to keep them alive, but you need the minerals in salt water, and a balanced pH to keep them healthy.

    There are special mixes at pet stores to do that.


  2. Nope, pretty sure you need more of a fine balance of water chemistry to make it truly fit for salt water fish.

  3. Not really, I mean it will make saltwater but not saltwater required for saltwater fish, it takes a synthetic sea salt with all the minerals and vitamins necessary for them to thrive. You will need instant ocean or Kent marine I like the instant ocean,  Then once the water is cycled you can put saltwater fish in the water.
