Question:

Is it ok if your toes come of the edge off the snowboard by about 2 - 3 inches?

my toes seem to come off the end of my board by about 2 3 inches, as i tried some on and then put them on my board my bindings are L and fit up to 11. is this bad or will it not matter or any info will help?

  1. not a good thing. when you lean forward your toes will scrape the snow and most likely you will fall. unless your an expert but i doubt an expert would ask this question.


  2. One to one and a half is still a little too much.  Either get a wider board, a boot with a smaller footprint, or risers...Really, the best option is to get a wider board.  I've heard that risers don't give you the same response as if there were no riser, and it's hard finding a boot with that much smaller of a footprint.

    You could try and duck out your stance more, that might work, but don't do it if it's uncomfortable.

  3. Even with 1 inch overhang you could get toe and heel drag. Ideally you dont want more than half an inch overhang on your toe and heel edge. Good Luck with the riding.

  4. Your toes should'nt come off that much. That will mess you up when doing a tight inside turn.

  5. 2-3 might be a little much.

    You usually want to shoot around 1-2 or a little less.

    You tend to fall back more leaning that far forward on the board.

    You also get more drag when carving going high speeds...
