Is it ok not to wear a t-shirt over my sports bra at the gym?

I thought it was ok to wear sports bras by themselves since they basically look like cut-off racerback tank tops but I kind of looked around and didn't notice any other women at the gym doing so. Don't want to be inappropriate...

So many different people attend gyms, so you never know how they react to exposure. It's always best to wear a tee over your sports bra when working out with people around you.

I wish i could, unfortunately i'm chesty. I think it's acceptable as long as you can bendover and stretch without revealing more than you were standing up. make sure it is not low cut or offensive to any other age group be it someone dropping off their kids at the daycare center or someone working out with their husband/wife. you want to be comfy and not thinking about what you're wearing but what goals you're achieving/enjoying your workout.

I don't think you're supposed to wear any type of bra, sports bra or otherwise, without some kind of a shirt over it.   Doesn't matter what the bra looks like.   I would suggest wearing a loose fitting t-shirt or a halter top or something else equally as comfortable.

yes it is fine, in fact if you don't want to wear a top at all that is ok too.

Idk..not trying to be funny but if a guy runs the gym I don't think he'll mind

I see a lot of women do this unless they have a huge rack, and I've been a member of many gyms. I even see slightly chubby women just wearing the top. If it makes a difference I live in a large city and almost of all of the women there work in the office buildings surrounding the area or are college students. If you are conscientious of it or workout in small backwards smaller town then wear a t-shirt over it.
