  1. Your joking right? First - Yes if you wrote someone a bad check they will find out its bad when they go to cash it, it will either bounce and she will get nothing, or hopefully she will get her money and you'll get nailed with an overdraft fee. Second is your defense for writing your grandmother a bogus check really that she shouldn't use her "gift" because it would be selfish? You should really just stick to cards, for everyone. If your willing to c**p on your grandparents I can't imagine what you would get for your friends.

  2. You don't think that the recipient of a gift should use the gift????  There should be a monument built to your self centeredness.  And do you really think that if she does try to cash it the bank is just going to say "Oh! Its OK.  Johnny/Susie wrote it for his/her grandmother.  Lets go ahead and give her the money for free!"  What planet are you from? :(

  3. Why would anyone write their Grandmother a bad check when they could send a nice letter that would be appreciated more.  You should right this wrong before you embarrass yourself.   If you don't think more of your Grandmother than this you should have just  given her nothing.

  4. If she goes to cash it, either the bank will refuse it or they'll cash it, give her the $50, and charge you $50 plus an overdraft fee.

  5. My mom used to say the way to h**l is paved with good intentions

  6. NO.

  7. Hey if it feel's right then cool!

  8. First off it's illegal....second off it's immoral.  You are talking about your grandmother.  Someone who probably loves you more than anyone.  If you had one ounce of love and care and concern for her you simply would have given her a lovely $3 to $5 card that you could have afforded and just written her a lovely note about how much you love and appreciate her and there could have been no gift at no price you could have given her that could have compared.

It is not OK.  You need to call your Grandmother and tell her the truth and apologize BEFORE she tries to cash the check and perhaps is embarrassed.  Please never do this again.

    Peace & Love  :)

  9. thats not right

  10. hmmmmm and then say omg i didnt know and give it to her in cash

  11. Writing a bad check is never a good idea! For once, it costs you when the check bounces, number two it's more like an insult than a gift, and why don't grandparents deserve gifts? They are family too!

  12. of course she'll find out it's bad if she tries to cash it - by the way, you sound adorable

  13. if you think it is selfish to give your grandparents a gift, then why did you even try?  yes, of course, it's not okay for you to write a bad check and I hope you get found out - that's illegal.  You should be cherishing your grandparents, not complaining that you have to give them a gift!
