Is it ok to allow a 10 year old to play World of Warcraft?I am concerened about my husband addiction to this game& now he wants to allow our 10 year old to play...I have heard ALOT of negative things about WOW...I might be old fashioned, but I think that a child should play sports or something not the internet.

I tried to play that game...it's kind of complicated and it demands a lot of time. I never wanted to get into it because I know I would never get any sleep.

I think at 10 he should not be introduced to it yet. He should be running around outside instead of playing something like that.

I say let her/she try, heck, they may not even like it. And sure there are a lot of people out there who use WoW as a drug practically. But you know I even play (Lvl 70 Hunter w00tw00t) and I still keep up a social life. I enjoy playing a good game of pool or laser tag after work and have time for my friends and boyfriend.

Your right that kids should be outside playing but some time on the video games is ok too.

I think, personal, its dumb to assume that movies and video games will turn your child into some sort of murder, or bully or something to do with the game/movie..

If you have instilled good judgment and morals, and right from wrong with your children and video game will be just that, a game and not be brought into his reality of life....Some play time with dad should be ok, as long as dad is there with him, why not. If you have a good boy and doing right by raising him properly, you will have no problems with him.

My kids aren't into "WoW" but they aren't allowed to play video games longer than an hour a day anyways.  Neither their father no I have ever been addicted to games.

NOOOOOOOOO my bro is addicted to it its NOT good! i hear people stay up 3 days strait and die from no rest and kill themselves if they have no access to it!

well, i don't know, if you don't want him/her addicted to the game, then, definitely no, my brother plays it every day, and wastes all money our parents give to him on it, and i also know many people that can't stop playing WOW.still, they all say it's fun, and it has to be, when so many people play it.so, why not?after all, it's up to you

in a word: NO. Would you take your 10 year old to an R rated movie?  Kids are exposed to too many things at a young age that they shouldn't be. Playing sports or doing things outdoors is much healthier.
