Is it ok to ask about him??

Okay my aunts and I go to this feast like every year. And there's this guy whom I've had my eye on since last years feast see the thing is that he knows my aunt Cathy who also goes to the feast all my relatives go to the feast. He would always talk to my aunt Cathy. So this time at the feast I was sitting by my aunt cathy and by my other relatives in a big group. He sat down in the group for a little while. He'd always come back by where we were sitting. Really he'd keep coming back. And he kept talking to my aunt Cathy. A couple of times he has checked-me out. I swear he has looked at me a couple of times. My mom will ask my aunt cathy. How she knows him. I just really hope he doesn't have a girlfriend. Because a lot of the guys I liked had girlfriends. But a lot of the times I saw him at the feast. I saw him alone a lot. With out a girl. So if he's without a girl does that mean he's single??? or no?? and is it ok to ask about him?
