I am a little limited on cooking supplies. I plan to bake a layer of sugar cookie dough on a pyrex (so I'm not baking cookies, just one solid layer of "cookie"), but of course don't want it to stick to the pyrex when done.

Is it ok if I rub vegetable oil all over the surface of the pyrex to prevent sticking ? Will that work ?

Thanks

  1. of course, just make sure not to use too much spray and use the temperature recomendations for GLass, which should be lower than metal pans.

  2. Use room temperature butter as your release agent. Other than that it sounds great!

  3. Yes, just use butter on your pan.  Oil will give it an almost fishy flavor.

Be sure to use whatever the directions are for glassware, which is usually 25 degrees less.

  4. It will wprk just fine, and for future reference do it with choc chip cookie douhg and just make cookie bars.

  5. I would use butter (or a butter spray) instead of vegetable oil, just so your cookie doesn't have a weird, oily taste. But I think it should work.

  6. yeah
