I'm going to toronto for spring break and I was wondering if any hotel allows eighteen year olds to rent? Also, if not, can I bring someones credit card that is 21+ and they could verify it via phone that it is legitimate?

  1. Most hotels require a credit card and at least 18-19yrs of age.

Nicer, higher-end, hotels will probably require a higher age limit of 21+.

I've booked hotels at the age of 19 in Niagara Falls, and was fine.  Just be sure to ask when you book.  There may also be a security deposit because of your young age; be sure to have your credit card or cash handy.

If you don't care where you stay, you can always stay at some little motel.  They usually don't car how old you are as long as you pay.

  2. As long as you have a valid credit card, eighteen should be fine. But if in doubt, make reservations at the hotel before you get there and ask them about any age requirements.

Another way around it is if your parents or someone you know has a corporate account, they can guarantee the room using the credit card on that account, then you just pay them back when you get back home afterwards.

(Of course, remember that any room service or movies rented in the hotel will be listed on the invoice!)

  3. You'll have to be 21 and have a credit card to cover any possible damages.

  4. I think 18, could depend on the state too.

  5. The legal age here in Canada is either 18 or 19 depending on what province you go to.

The only reason we need to be 21 is to go to Vegas.

You can get credit cards whenever you bank approves them.  No age limit.

I have never been asked my age when booking a hotel room.
